Unaffiliated Ukrainian parliamentarian Petro Poroshenko still has the highest presidential electoral rating among all candidates, trailed in this respect by Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko and parliamentarian Sergiy Tigipko.

A poll of 2,000 respondents the Rating public opinion service conducted on April 25-30, 2014, the results of which were made public at the Interfax-Ukraine office on Wednesday, May 7, shows that 43.4 percent of the respondents planning to go to polling stations on May 25 intend to vote for Poroshenko, 13.9 percent for Tymoshenko, and 6.7 percent for Tigipko.

Another 4.5 percent of the respondents are inclined to vote for Civil Position leader Anatoliy Hrytsenko and 4.3 percent for Party of Regions candidate Mykhailo Dobkin.

If Poroshenko and Tymoshenko proceed to the second round of the elections, the former would get 48 percent and the latter 13 percent; if Poroshenko competes with Tigipko, he would get 55 percent and Tigipko 12 percent, and if Poroshenko and Dobkin make it for the second round, the votes would be divided in a proportion of 58 percent to 8 percent, the poll found.
