Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko at a meeting in Kyiv on Saturday informed Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans that OSCE monitors who arrived at the Malaysia Airlines plane crash site in Ukraine's east controlled by the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic had come under gunfire.

“According to the information we’ve got, the European experts have returned today, but there are obstacles to their work again, they have no possibility of collecting evidence, [plane crash victims’] dead bodies are improperly handled. We believe that this situation is unacceptable. We will not tolerate obstruction of the commission in its work and impediments to an objective investigation by representatives from other countries,” Poroshenko said.

“Despite agreements reached [with the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic], OSCE representatives came under gunfire yesterday,” the presidential press service reported.
