Zhytomyr Oblast - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that personnel reshuffles in Ukrainian Armed Forces will be continual and urged the public not to criticize soldiers in social networks and press.

“Personnel reshuffles will be conducted constantly; and people not subjected to criticism don’t exist. The only thing I won’t allow is that under [the effect of] emotions or magazine articles we suspend people, who by risking lives defended [our] homeland,” he said at the training center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Zhytomyr Oblast on Oct. 4.

In relation to this, the president quoted a poem by Shota Rustaveli: “Everyone’s a strategist when watching a battle from the distance.”

“Welcome to the Armed Forces. Walk this way, demonstrate your tactics in the field, and I think the country will be grateful to you,” the president said.

He also noted: “When at night [sitting] in front of the computer on Facebook and drinking coffee, we’re developing strategies and waging a deadly war, I think we’ll abstain from such advice for now.”
