Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is convinced that the current parliamentary coalition will continue its work.

“Today’s vote, as is with general constitutional matters, was joined, quite naturally, by the extra-factional. The constitutional changes must unite the whole of Verkhovna Rada. And it by no means involves reformatting the coalition. The existing coalition will continue working despite today’s events. Because this is exactly what is necessary in the interests of Ukraine. No other options are considered even in theory,” he said in a televised address on Aug. 21 evening.
