Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko believes the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union will not be ratified by the Ukrainian parliament in the current session.

“I don’t see any problems. You know that the Ukrainian parliament
only has one week to work and technical issues will take more than one
day,” he told a press conference in Brussels on Friday.

For this reason, the document will not be ratified in the last week of the current session of the Ukrainian parliament, he said.

Ukraine, the European Union and Russia are due to hold trilateral
expert- and ministerial-level talks which will deal the association
agreement signed between the EU and Ukraine on June 27, Poroshenko said.

“An agreement has been reached to hold expert-level consultations in
the Ukraine-EU-Russia format on July 3-4, and an agreement has also been
reached to hold ministerial-level consultations on July 11 in the same
trilateral format,” Poroshenko told a news conference in Brussels.
