You're reading: Poroshenko says Minsk talks were difficult, implementation not easy

Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has stressed that the summit between France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine held in Minsk was quite difficult but the process of implementing the agreements will be no less complicated.

“The talks in Minsk were difficult, and the process of their implementation will be too,” he said at a briefing held jointly with European Council President Donald Tusk in Brussels on Feb. 12.

“Unlike the other sides,” Ukraine approaches implementation of the Minsk agreements very responsibly, Poroshenko said.

“This is exactly why I came to Brussels to coordinate our further steps with European partners who have, as ever, demonstrated a true partnership with Ukraine. I want to thank President Tusk and all the EU leaders for their strong support,” he said.
