Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called his negotiations with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin useful and productive.

“We’ve had two very long conversations and a very long conversation in Minsk… Without these conversations there would be no current process,” the head of state said in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels on Sunday, Sept.21.

Poroshenko also said the talks in a so-called ‘Normandy format’ (Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany) with the engagement of the United States should continue, as the current situation is the problem not only for Ukraine.
