CHUHUYEV - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that a military threat to Ukraine from the east will persist for decades to come so the sixth wave of mobilization is likely to be not the last one.

‘The military threat from the east is a foreseeable prospect for decades ahead, this threat will not vanish in the near future, and every new generation should have army experience. Just imagine what would’ve happened if we hadn’t had men with army service experience last year. After all, only during the sixth phase of mobilization, which is likely to be not the last one, draft notices have been sent to those who haven’t yet served in the army or haven’t studied at military departments,’ the head of state said during his working visit to Chuhuyev in Kharkiv region.

The president stressed that main thing today was production of new and powerful military hardware, modernization and quality repairs of the present one. ‘As a part of an international aid, as a part of our coordinating actions with the world coalition, which was created by the Ukrainian state, by Ukrainian diplomacy to lend support to Ukraine, we received almost 500 transport units and special hardware from our foreign partners,’ the president said.
