President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is confident that the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union will work in full in the near future.

“The Association Agreement with the EU has to be ratified by two more EU member states. Contrary to Moscow’s opposition it will come into effect and it will be implemented in full,” Poroshenko said during celebrations to mark the Independence Day of Ukraine in the center of Kyiv on Aug. 24.

Poroshenko said that Russia has failed to destroy the unity of the European coalition, “meanwhile the sanctions have caused and are causing a powerful blow to the Russian economy.”
