Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko sees attempts to destabilize the internal situation in the country and vows to do his best to preserve its unity.

“Seeing the power of our armed forces today, the enemy has changed its tactic. It understands that, if it goes headlong, the price it will pay for this reckless scheme will be sky-high, and it is easier to focus resources on destabilizing the situation inside the country,” Poroshenko said to leading officials in the Luhansk regional administration in Severodonetsk on July 22.

The Ukrainian government is doing what it can to preserve Ukraine’s unity, Poroshenko said.

“The diversity that has developed historically doesn’t separate us. I am sure that Ukraine’s diversity unifies us, and we can win only when Ukraine becomes strong and consolidated,” Poroshenko said.
