You're reading: Poroshenko signs decree on evacuation of Ukrainians in Nepal

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree on the urgent evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from Nepal.

According to the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to organize the evacuation and to provide financing for it.

Also, the government was ordered to verify the names of Ukrainian citizens who are in Nepal who must be evacuated, to coordinate with the authorized agencies of Nepal about the order and conditions of the evacuation, and to inform the Ukrainians citizens in Nepal of the evacuation.

According to the decree, the evacuation of Ukrainians and their return home must be carried out by the Ukrainian Air Force.

As reported, the recent earthquake in Nepal killed at least over 4,000 people.
