You're reading: Poroshenko signs law on openness of using public funds

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a law on the transparency of using public funds (adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on February 11), the presidential press service has said.

According to law No. 183-VIII, public funds include funds from the national and local budgets, credit resources issued under state and local guarantees, funds from the National Bank of Ukraine and other state-owned banks, state targeted funds, the Pension Fund and compulsory state social insurance funds, as well as the money of state and municipal economic entities they received from their business activities.

The law defines the conditions and procedure for providing access to the information about the use of such funds. The above mentioned information is posted on the single web portal for using public funds, access to the resource is unlimited and free.
