President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said that the situation on the east of Ukraine is difficult, but it is under control.

“To be sincere, the situation really is extremely difficult, and nobody is going to simplify it. But it is under control, under enough control not to give a way to panic, keep a cool head, common sense and a plan of our further actions,” he said at the beginning of the sitting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) in Kyiv on Aug. 28.

Poroshenko said that his visit to Turkey was cancelled because the military operation in east had changed, and that’s why the meeting of NSDC was convened.
