Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has had a phone talk with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the presidential press service reported on July 17.

“The president of Ukraine has expressed concern about the further escalation in Donbas, and called on for the full implementation of the Minsk agreements. Petro Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine, unlike the other party, is fulfilling the Minsk agreement,” the press service said.

The Ukrainian president also stressed the need for the “unconditional and immediate release of all the hostages, including the citizens of Ukraine who are illegally held in territory of Russia, including [captive Ukrainian pilot] Nadia Savchenko and [Ukrainian film director] Oleh Sentsov.”

“The German chancellor and the French president pointed to the importance of the adoption by the Ukrainian parliament of decentralization-related amendments to the Constitution,” the press service said.

“The participants in [the phone call] agreed to continue the dialogue next week,” the press service said.
