You're reading: Poroshenko to meet with Nazarbayev in Ankara

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko plans to go to Ankara on August 28 to attend the inauguration ceremony of Turkish President Recep Erdogan and to hold a number of bilateral meetings there, including with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Ukrainian presidential administration deputy head Valeriy Chaly told Interfax-Ukraine on Aug. 27. 

“Bilateral meeting with Nazarbayev took place in Minsk on August 26 and the next one is planned in Ankara,” Chaly said.

A discussion of “a wide range of issues, including possibly in the energy sector is planned,” he said.

Poroshenko is expected to go to Brussels on August 30 to meet with EU senior officials.
