Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko will go on a working visit to Zakarpattia region on July 15, according to the president's website.
“President Petro Poroshenko will make a working trip to Zakarpattia region on July 15,” the statement reads.
The presidential press service did not specify the aim of the trip.
However, Interfax-Ukraine has learnt that Poroshenko will present the new head of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal.
First Deputy Head of Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction in Ukraine’s parliament Ihor Kononenko said that Moskal was appointed as the new governor of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
MP Anton Heraschenko (People’s Front) confirmed this information.
At the same time, Leader of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Yuriy Lutsenko told reporters that he hadn’t yet seen a decree on the appointment. The presidential office has not yet confirmed information on Moskal’s appointment to Interfax-Ukraine.
