Ukraine will try to remove exceptions to its free trade with Russia and avoid "trade wars," Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Minister Petro Poroshenko said.

"The regime of our relations does not imply having any dispute whatsoever," he said at a meeting with Eurasian Economic Commission Collegium Chairman Viktor Khristenko in Kyiv on March 26.

The potential for an efficient economic cooperation between the countries lies in energy, mechanical engineering, agriculture and high technologies, the minister said.

Therefore, it is important to build a mechanism of maintaining an effective dialogue and tackling any misunderstanding, he said.

"We are set to fully take up all those new opportunities, which open up, from our point of view, with the launch of the Customs Union," the Ukrainian trade minister added.
