You're reading: Poroshenko: Ukraine interested in Israeli experience in counter-terrorism

 Presidential candidate and independent lawmaker Petro Poroshenko has met with Israeli leadership and discussed territorial integrity issues and forthcoming presidential elections in Ukraine. "In the course of the meeting with Israeli President it was mentioned that Ukrainian people would determine their future independently. In this context the interlocutors underscored the importance of carrying presidential elections in the already set terms – on May 25, 2014," Poroshenko's press service reported on April 21.

 Besides, during the meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman in Jerusalem, Poroshenko said “he hopes on further clear signals from Israeli leadership regarding its support of the Ukrainian territorial integrity and sharing of experience in counter-terrorism with the Ukrainian party.”

The Ukrainian politician also thanked Israeli side for rescue of two Ukrainians, who have been injured during the events of Euromaidan in Kyiv.
