Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has submitted a bill to the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, that would confirm his decree on partial mobilization.

The bill was registered on July 21. But its contents are unknown.

Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov said on Monday morning that the parliament was expected to approve the presidential decree on partial mobilization on July 22. “We are going to debate the president’s decree tomorrow, which is to be signed based on the National Security and Defense Council’s decision on partial mobilization. You understand, we have two days at our disposal to approve this decree, so it could take effect,” Turchynov told the Rada’s conciliatory council.

The Ukrainian parliament earlier confirmed several of Turchynov’s decrees on partial mobilization. Turchynov was Ukraine’s acting president before the presidential elections.
