Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has vetoed the bill on internal affairs agencies adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on July 2, 2015.

The president made this decision after a meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, reads a statement on the official website of the head of state posted on Aug. 7.

“Some of the issues, which the said document is expected to solve, are within the competence of the government, and the other part has already been resolved through other legal acts,” the statement explained.
