Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says that Europe is facing a real threat of a new cold war.
“…people throughout the world are asking the same questions: Are we on the brink of a new cold war? May a new, terrible and unimaginable European war happen there? Is what until recently seemed unthinkable now becoming a reality? Sadly, today, the answer to these questions is yes,” Poroshenko said during his speech before U.S. Congress.
“However, we cannot and must not accept this as an inevitability.<…> we are now at the forefront of the fight against terrorism. And we need to join our efforts to effectively respond to this challenge,” he added.
