Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov and the leaders of parliamentary factions and groups have agreed to prepare an agreed draft of amendments to the electoral law, the Ukrainian parliament's press service reported on Thursday, July 30.

 

The meeting participants also agreed to hold consultations on the
introduction of a proportional electoral system with open electoral
lists, the restoration of electoral blocs as subjects of the election
process and the holding of other election procedures.

The meeting was held after a plenary meeting of the Ukrainian parliament on Thursday, July 30.
