After a speech made by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, a son of one of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes lit up the light installation "Beams of Dignity" - an artwork that has placed spotlights on each spot where a Maidan activist died.
The Ukrainian national anthem was subsequently performed.
After that, Poroshenko and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk met with the relatives of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes who were standing in a special place of honor.
As expected, after the performance of Mozart’s Requiem and a Ukrainian folk song, members of the public will lay flowers and candles where the Heavenly Hundred Heroes were killed.
