The income of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in 2014 exceeded Hr 368 million, the presidential press service reported on April 7, citing his income and tax declaration.

“The total comprehensive income of Petro Poroshenko for 2014 equals Hr 368,943,679 and that of his family equals Hr 36,000. Dividends and
interest constitute Hr 345,670; revenue from the alienation of
securities and corporate rights equals Hr 11,253,718; revenue from the
sale of property equals Hr 961,780,” reads the report.

Poroshenko paid every relevant tax on his dividends, bank deposits
interest, and other revenues under 2014 Tax Code rates. The total amount
of the taxes he paid was Hr 17,941,932.

As usual, Poroshenko’s salary in 2014 was donated to charity. The
overall sum of his charitable donations in 2014 was Hr 123,166,037.

The press service said that the decision on the accrual and payment
of dividends to Poroshenko was made by the investment fund’s assets
management company at the beginning of 2014 before he stood in the
presidential elections. Dividends were calculated under the results of
the investment fund’s activity in 2013 and in the previous years.

“Poroshenko funds certain expenses related to the implementation of
his presidential duties at his own cost. In particular, this concerns
the cost of fuel for flights to remote countries like Singapore or
Australia. In addition, Poroshenko independently funded his election
campaign as presidential candidate from his own income received in 2014
transparently, complying with the principle of independence from any
extraneous sponsors,” the press service said.

Poroshenko’s declaration of income for 2014 includes all his
available movable and immovable assets. His ownership of land, houses,
apartments, vehicles etc. has not changed.

In addition, Poroshenko has Hr 451,925,060 held in his bank accounts.
