You're reading: Poroshenko asks Swedish premier to help Ukraine in granting visa-free regime

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Lofven during the Friday meeting in Milan discussed the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and the program of Ukrainian reforms, the president's press service reported.

‘Particular attention was paid to the issue of visa-free regime. The president called on Sweden to support granting visa-free regime to Ukraine,’ it said.

Besides, Poroshenko and Lofven discussed technical cooperation issues.

The president expressed gratitude to the prime minister for new initiatives of the Swedish government on the provision of technical assistance to the Ukrainian reforms.

Poroshenko invited Lofven to visit Ukraine at his convenience. For his part, Stefan Löfven promised to consider the invitation, the press service said.
