 President of the All-Ukrainian Jewish Congress Vadym Rabynovych has submitted to the Central Election Commission (CEC) the documents for his registration as a self-nominated candidate for Ukrainian president.

 “I want to destroy a myth about anti-Semitic Ukraine, which is spreading around the world. Probably I’m the most fortunate candidate. Today unification is needed and I’m a unifying candidate. I have no maniacal thirst for power, I just want to help the country,” he told the journalists outside the CEC after submission of the documents.

As reported, four self-nominated candidates have already submitted the documents to CEC: ex-first deputy prosecutor general Renat Kuzmin, ex-head of Kharkiv regional state administration, Mykhailo Dobkin, one of the leaders of Regions Party, Sergiy Tigipko, and Vadym Rabynovych.

Just one of the aforementioned candidates, Kuzmin, has been registered so far.

Nomination of the presidential candidates will last until March 30, the last term to submit the documents for registration is April 4, 2014.

The presidential elections in Ukraine are scheduled for May 25, 2014.
