The Cabinet of Ministers is delaying the adoption of a decree to announce a tender for the implementation of activities in the 3G communications standard in Ukraine, deputy head of the presidential administration Dmitry Shymkiv has said.

“Unfortunately, there is still no resolution of the Cabinet. Somehow the Cabinet believes that it should define some of the parameters that are defined by the law. I think that the delay of this process is probably beneficial to someone, as we have a single operator with a license. I think we need to look there,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv.

Shymkiv said that operators are ready to take part in the tender and pay funds that will go to the national budget.

“Currently the Cabinet is responsible for a delay of several months – the failure to fulfill a presidential decree,” he said.
