“The Ukrainian national social project “Healthy Woman – Healthy Family – Healthy Country!” started in Khreschatyk Street on Saturday, Sept. 20. It is aimed at promoting family values as the foundation of the spiritual, economic and cultural revival of our nation,” head of the Ukraine for the Family alliance, which is one of the organizers of the project, Vladyslav Syla said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.

According to info from the alliance, an information campaign on the prevention of breast cancer, as well as programs in support of women with this disease will start within the project.

“The purpose of the project, first of all, is to draw public attention to one of the most important problems of the Ukrainian society – women’s health, in particular breast cancer. As for today, it ranks first among cancer diseases in Ukraine,” reads a press release from the alliance.

In addition, the organizers noted that another goal of the project is to remind Ukrainians that a healthy society is built from healthy families with correct values.
