The first deputy head of the Batkivschyna Party Oleksandr Turchynov has said that an investigator from the main investigation department of the Prosecutor General's Office has questioned him as a witness in a case on charges brought against former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko regarding the embezzlement of funds.

"I spent half a day at the General Prosecutor of Ukraine, answering questions about my [signature] on a letter of the Interior Ministry with respect to a certain police officer," he told reporters while leaving the building of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

He said that he had been interrogated as a witness in the case and did not exclude that he could be summoned for questioning again.

Turchynov said that he was ready to go to the investigator as he said he "took responsibility for all of his actions."
