You're reading: Prosecutors: Military men from Ukraine’s Lviv region don’t receive payment

The prosecutors of the Western region of Ukraine have found that military men mobilized from the Lviv region have not been paid over Hr 500,000 to which they are entitled.

“The Lviv prosecutors in charge of supervision of the observance of
laws in the military sphere of the Western region of Ukraine have
registered a criminal case opened on the basis of Part 2 of Article 425
of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (negligence of service duties by an
official),” the press service for the prosecutors of the Western region
of Ukraine in charge of supervision of the observance of laws in the
military sphere has reported.

As a result of the lack of action and control from officials from one
military unit in the Lviv region, military men mobilized in May and
June 2014 have not received their pay exceeding a total of Hr 500,000.
