Moscow - Russian President Vladimir Putin talked on the phone with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said. The two leaders "continued discussions regarding the military and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine," he said.

“The chiefs of state exchanged opinions as to what should be done primarily to stop bloodshed in the southeastern part of the country as soon as possible,” Peskov said.

“The presidents’ viewpoints on possible ways to overcome the grave and critical situation coincide to a considerable degree,” he said.
