Moscow  - The Kremlin expects Kyiv will confirm its readiness to delay the implementation of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement's provisions which cause Russian concerns, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov told Interfax.

‘We are awaiting a confirmation,’ he said.

Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev told Interfax that after the negotiations the sides had agreed that the provisions of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement sensitive for Moscow would not be implemented until the beginning of 2016.

For instance, it was announced after the trilateral consultations that the sides had decided to postpone the launch of the Ukraine-EU free trade zone and to maintain the CIS free trade regime until Dec. 31, 2015.

Ulyukayev said on Tuesday that Russia would demand a documentary proof of that delay. He said as soon as Ukraine documented the decision the pending resolution of the Russian government raising duties on Ukrainian goods would not take effect.

Ukraine and the European Union synchronously ratified the Association Agreement on Sep. 16.
