The situation with changing the head of PJSC Ukrtransnafta should be resolved strictly in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt considers.

“It is important to resolve this situation in accordance with Ukrainian law and Ukrainian justice,” he said on Radio Vesti.

According to the ambassador, he expressed his position in a conversation with Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Ihor Kolomoisky, who became one of the parties to the conflict.

“He understands, like most of the political leaders of Ukraine, that the circumstances and the environment in Ukraine have changed. And the law of the jungle that existed under Yanukovych is a recipe for disaster and tragedy for Ukraine … It is not suitable for Ukrainian realities,” Pyatt said.

“Now everyone in Ukraine understands that for Ukraine and its economy to move forward it is important to resolve such issues solely on the basis of justice and the rule of law,” he added.

As reported, the supervisory council of Ukrtransnafta on March 19 decided to suspend Lazorko and temporarily appoint Miroshnyk as head of the company.
