You're reading: Rada approves bill on single contribution rates for common obligatory insurance

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, is to unify rates for single contributions to obligatory state social insurance.

Two hundred and fifty nine MPs voted for bill No. 10671 on amendments to Article 8 “On the collection and registration of the single contribution for obligatory state social insurance” at first reading.

The bill offers to set the following proportions for the single contribution for obligatory social insurance: 85.53% for obligatory state pension insurance; 5.09% – for obligatory state social insurance in the case of unemployment; 3.64% – for obligatory state social insurance against industrial accidents and professional diseases that cause loss of working capacity; 5.74% – for obligatory state social insurance because of temporary loss of working capacity, and expenses connected with the funerals.

Moreover, it is proposed to use 34.7% of the single contribution for military units and agencies that pay money to officers, soldiers and command staff, as well as 2.6% of the single contribution for officers, soldiers and command staff in the following proportions: 5.63% – for obligatory state social insurance in the case of employment; and 94.37% – for obligatory state pension insurance.
