The coalition of parliamentary factions at the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada is currently composed of 302 parliamentarians and will be named European Ukraine.

“Our coalition has been set up at the Ukrainian pro-European parliament in an absolute constitutional majority including 302 people’s deputies,” Volodymyr Hroisman representing the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction said at a coalition meeting on Thursday, Nov. 27.

The coalition will be composed of the parliamentary factions of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, Popular Front, the Samopomich association, the Radical Party of Oleh Liashko, and Batkivschyna.

It was reported earlier that 423 parliamentarians were elected to the 8th Verkhovna Rada in the elections on October 26, including 225 on party tickets and 198 in majority districts. The Central Elections Commission found the election of 422 out of the 423 deputies valid, and the votes cast at all polling stations in one district in the Zhytomyr region are being recounted under a court ruling.
