Ukraine's emergency situations service has released an updated report on radiation levels in Kyiv and in the exclusion zone of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.

At 16.00 on May 5 the radiation level was at 10 micro roentgens an hour in Kyiv (the safety level being 10 micro roentgens an hour) and 22 micro roentgens an hour in Chornobyl (the safety level being 50 micro roentgens an hour), it said.
