Kharkiv - A rally in support of TVi Channel has been held in Kharkiv.
According to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, up to 100 people participated in the rally.
"This is not a political rally, it was not organized by political forces – not indifferent people came here, who want to preserve their freedom and live freely in their own country, but not the way our government is imposing," the co-chairman of Kharkiv Human Rights Group, Yevhen Zakharov, said.
"It is very important for us that not only the residents of Kharkiv and Ukraine, but the authorities could see that they will not get away with another infringement of freedom of speech. We have demonstrated that Kharkiv also wants to see this. Later we will possibly start planning more active steps to prevent the events that occurred with our opposition channels," rally organizer Viktoria Cherevko said.
