Kyiv has issued security guarantees to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) concerning the delivery of Russia's humanitarian aid, and the convoy might cross the border as early as on Aug. 21 following a trilateral conference to take place at the Donetsk-Izvaryne border checkpoint, ICRC spokesperson Galina Balzamova said.

“Kyiv has given security guarantees to the ICRC workers, as much as it is possible in this situation,” Balzamova told journalists on Thursday.

A trilateral conference between representatives of Ukraine, Russia, and the ICRC should take place in the near future at the checkpoint through which the convoy should pass across the Russian-Ukrainian border, she said.

ICRC workers keep coming to the Russian checkpoint of Donetsk in the Rostov region on vehicles with special markings.
