You're reading: Regional police chief: Two children killed, four wounded in Avdiyivka in past 24 hours

Two children have been killed and four more have been wounded in Avdiyivka over the past 24 hours, the head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's main office in Donetsk region, Viacheslav Abroskin, has said. 

“Two children have been killed. Over the past 24 hours 13 people have been
hospitalized with injuries, and 11 of them, including four children, are
undergoing inpatient treatment,” he wrote on his Facebook page on Dec. 9.

He said that shelling had damaged apartment buildings, the building of a
kindergarten, as well as part of one of the buildings of the local hospital.
