You're reading: Regionals follow Communists by walking out of Rada session

Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada is holding its closed-doors session on May 6 afternoon without Party of Regions members, the faction leader, Mykhailo Chechetov, told reporters.

The Party of Regions deputies left the session room after parliamentarians voted to hold a closed-doors session and to remove the Communist faction from the session room, he said.

“We did not want to take part in these shenanigans where the opposition faction is being removed from the room for its point of view …. We walked out of the room,” Chechetov said.
