The Party of Regions faction will not vote for head of the National Bank’s Council Petro Poroshenko’s appointment to the post of foreign minister, as the opposition cannot nominate its candidates for ministers in Ukraine.

The first deputy head of the Party of Regions faction, Oleksandr Yefremov, told this to reporters at the parliament on Thursday.

“This is the issue for the coalition, if it really exists,” he said.

As reported, Ukraine’s President Viktor Yuschenko nominated Petro
Poroshenko for foreign minister and the nomination was registered by
the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday.

Poroshenko currently heads the Council of Ukraine’s National Bank.

The Verkhovna Rada is to consider appointments and dismissals of ministers and heads of state committees on Thursday.
