You're reading: Report: molotov cocktail thrown at Ukraine nationalist office

A Ukrainian nationalist group said unidentified attackers hurled Molotov cocktails at its Kyiv office early on Wednesday and blamed the attack on "anti-Ukrainian forces."

The incident is part of “the anti-Ukrainian policy that is being pursued in our country,” the All-Ukrainian Association Svoboda said in a press release.

“We link this attack to the firm Ukrainian position of [Svoboda] and to our latest statement on the demolition of the monument to Lenin in Kyiv. The communist Bolshevik clique is still active in Ukraine. And until they are judicially banned, there will continue to be events of this kind against Ukrainians, Ukrainian forces, the Ukrainian nation,” said the chairman of Svoboda’s Kyiv city branch, Andriy Mokhnyk.

Detectives are working at the site of the incident.

There have so far been no comments from the police.
