MOSCOW - Reports which say that a final report on the Malaysian Boeing crash in Ukraine will be published on Aug. 10, 2015, are not true, Dutch Safety Board spokeswoman Sara Vernooij has said.
“No, we are still working,” she told Interfax, replying to the relevant question.
“We are going to publish the report in October,” Vernooij added.
The media said earlier on July 21, referring to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, that the Dutch Safety Board would release its final report on the Malaysian Boeing crash in Ukraine on Aug. 10.
A Boeing 777 airliner owned by Malaysian Airlines was on an MH17 flightpath from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it crashed in a militia-controlled area of Donbas in south-eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. All 298 people on board, including 283 passengers and 15 crew members, were killed.
The crash inquiry is being led by the Netherlands. The international inquiry group includes experts from Russia, Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and the Netherlands.
Presumably, the plane was downed by a missile but no official conclusions have been published in this inquiry.
