You're reading: Rescuers find body of second victim of household explosion in Luhansk (Updated)

A body of 73-year-old woman has been found under the rubble of a residential building in Luhansk where an explosion of household gas occurred on August 11, according to the Web site of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergencies. 

“According to updated information, as of 0900 on August 12, a body of a 73-year-old woman was found and retrieved from the 13-story house where a gas explosion occurred on August 11,” the statement reads.

A body of another person was found earlier.

Four adults and two children were found alive under the debris on the explosion scene. Seven adults and three children, including a severely injured 12-year-old girl, were taken to city hospitals. Sixty tenants were evacuated to a safe place.

Meanwhile, the Web site of Luhansk Regional Administration reported the death of one and injuries of 18 people. The injured people are receiving medical attention and the house tenants are temporarily accommodated at Luhansk hotels and dormitories.
