The Rostov Regional Court will rule on the jurisdiction of the criminal case against Ukrainian citizen Nadia Savchenko indicted in the killing of Russian journalists, lawyer Nikolai Polozov said.

“The Donetsk City Court [in the Rostov region of Russia] has granted the defense’s motion on forwarding the case to the Rostov Regional Court to determine its jurisdiction,” Polozov said via Twitter on July 30.

It was reported earlier that the defense had asked the Donetsk City Court to adjourn the preliminary hearing of the case on July 30, insisting that the Rostov Regional Court had to scrutinize the legitimacy of the case’s hearing in Donetsk, the Rostov region.
