Russia agreed to organize a meeting between Ukrainian consul and of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko, who was kidnapped in Luhansk region, brought to Russia and put in custody there, the presidential website reported on July 14.

Under the instruction of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin held a quadripartite phone conversation with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia Sergei Ivanov.

Among other things, the parties touched upon the issue of illegal detention of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko in the prison of the Russian city of Voronezh and unreasonable denial of access to her for the Ukrainian consul, the press service of Petro Poroshenko reported.

The Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia promised to sort out the situation and provide access to Nadiya Savchenko for the consul, the presidential website said.
