Novo-Ogaryovo - Parallel jubilee ceremonies will be launched in Russia and Ukraine to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of poet Taras Shevchenko.
“The upcoming 200th anniversary of the birth of famous poet Taras Shevchenko, to be celebrated in 2014, promises to become a significant joint project. We agreed with Viktor Fedorovych to launch comprehensive joint preparations for this important jubilee,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said after talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Yanukovych in Novo-Ogaryovo on Monday.
