The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to concentrate manpower and military equipment in the captured towns and villages of Donbas, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine has said.

“Russian divisions have been spotted in Donetsk, Amvrosiyivka, Starobesheve, Huselschykove, Novoazovsk and Markine in Donetsk region, in the villages of Peremoha, Novosvitlivka, Khriaschuvate in Luhansk region and in Luhansk itself,” Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

According to him, over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military 22 times came under fire in the areas of the villages of Heorhiyivka, Lutuhine, Maryinka, Verhunsky Rozyizd, Shyshkove, Verkhniotoretske, Adrianopil, Zhovte, Tonenke, Lenine, Peremohy and Donetsk airport.

In addition, on Tuesday night, the Ukrainian military repelled three attacks of the enemy in the vicinity of Rozdolne, Vasylyivka and Starolaspa in Donetsk region. One officer of the National Guard was killed and nine were injured in the fighting, Lysenko said.
