Numbers of Russian Armed Forces continue growing in Crimea, where military detachments from various Russian regions are being actively sent to, Spokesman of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Andriy Lysenko said.

“Particularly, it’s notable that for the first time in 20 years Russia enlists young men from Chechnya, who will be stationed outside the [Chechen] republic, for compulsory military service. It is Crimea, where the first group of draftees will be sent to,” Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday,  Nov. 20.
