Moscow has warned Washington against the real damage the United States will incur as a result of its sanctions policies with respect to Russia.
“The real losses from such a destructive and short-sighted line will
be quite tangible for Washington,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a
commentary on July 30.
“We made repeated statements about the contrived and illegitimate
nature of the U.S. anti-Russian sanctions. Such decisions by Washington
will bring nothing but further aggravation of the U.S.-Russian relations
and creation of an extremely unfavorable backdrop in international
affairs where cooperation between our countries often plays a decisive
role,” the Foreign Ministry said.
